The IICRC, a non-profit certifying organization, establishes the minimum standards and practices for the cleaning and restoration industry.

Master level Certifications are only awarded to those cleaners and restorers with years of experience, who attend classroom study and successfully pass the written examinations. Areas of certification include Carpet Cleaning Technician, Commercial Carpet Care, Upholstery Cleaning Technician, Odor Control Technician, Color Repair Technician, Carpet Repair and Re-Installation, Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire & Smoke Restoration, and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician, Health and Safety.
